b n' b | books n' booze? blankets? buttercups?

I refuse to admit I've joined a book club for two reasons: 1) it makes me feel old and 2) it makes me feel just silly. No offense to regular book clubbers out there, this is clearly more my issue than anything. Book clubs and knitting go hand in hand in my book of things that make me feel old and silly. This isn't to say that I don't love to read a good book or that I wouldn't love to learn how to knit. This is just to say that me in a book club is about as likely as Zoey willingly wearing a dress. It doesn't mean she won't hang with girls who wear dresses, just that she's not entirely comfortable in them. Like me. In a book club. I've said too much.

Last months book was Shutter Island by Dennis Lehane- Incredible! I am a little squeamish about seeing the movie though because it looks freaky. But you know I have to watch it now. Anyway - great book. I highly recommend it if you are into psychological thrillers, nightmares, and persistent insomnia.

This months book is Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert. I have until Monday to read it and as of page 29, I'm not sure how I feel. I love her writing style, so that's a plus. Thoughts?

If nothing else, B n' B is simply a great way to hang with a group of fabulous girls and chat...about our book, of course.

Can you tell I have a ridiculous amount of homework facing me? Procrastination is key.
